- MacDonnell Ranges Light Show
The Language of the Land was an immersive light and sound experience that invited audiences to slow down and listen deeply to Country. Set against the ancient MacDonnell Ranges, the reimagined Ranges Light Show, delivered by creative team Artists in Motion, unfolded across 10 nights, revealing a living landscape shaped by rain, renewal and ancestral knowledge.
Through layered projections, shifting colour and a powerful soundscape guided by Arrernte voice, the Ranges pulsed with breath, heartbeat and story. The experience explored the deep connections between bush medicine, flora, fauna and kinship systems, where renewal was understood not as a beginning again, but as a continuation — a seasonal return guided by women walking Country, by plants gathered in their right time, and by knowledge passed through generations.
It was a powerful celebration of interconnection, reminding audiences that everything is alive, everything speaks, and that in listening to Country, we rediscover our place within it.
