Arrernte Language Workshop with Children’s Ground

Say it in Arrernte!

An adult and a child sit together, the adult holding a large book with colorful illustrations. They're on a patterned mat outdoors with others nearby.

Wednesday 15 April & Thursday 16 April, 6.30pm

Join Children’s Ground for a playful, family-friendly introduction to Arrernte language, where music, movement and storytelling come together. Designed for children and carers, this interactive session introduces simple Arrernte words and phrases through song, repetition and shared participation.

Led by a live facilitator and supported by Children’s Ground video content, the workshop explores greetings and body-related words while highlighting the importance of language to Arrernte culture and identity. Engaging, accessible and joyful, it offers a meaningful first step into language learning for curious young minds.
