Don’t miss our incredible series of hands-on workshops and interactive demonstrations taking place at Parrtjima from 4-13 April, 2025.

Discover the healing power of native plants in enlightening sessions on bush foods and traditional medicine, where you’ll learn about their significance in Aboriginal rituals, harvesting techniques, and medicinal properties. Watch celebrated chefs Rayleen Brown and Mark Olive bring these ingredients to life in a live bushfood cooking demo, sharing knowledge, recipes, and stories of how bush foods sustain communities and preserve deep connections to Country.

Explore the iconic watercolour techniques of the Hermannsburg artists, weave stories of connection to Country with Parrtjima Curator Rhoda Roberts AO, and find your own inner rhythm in an electrifying drumming workshop led by Hip Hop artist and drummer, DOBBY.

Join us in engaging with the ancient skills, traditions, and enduring creativity of First Nations people.

All workshops have limited capacity and require on-site sign-up at the Knowledge Space upon arrival – be sure to secure your spot early.

Join Rayleen Brown, a Ngangiwumirr and Eastern Arrernte woman from Kungkas Can Cook, and acclaimed Bundjalung Chef Mark Olive of The Midden, as they share their expertise and recipes for cooking with bushfoods, highlighting its cultural significance and superfood qualities.

Uncover the healing power of native plants, their harvesting methods, and their cultural significance in Aboriginal rituals in this enlightening session presented by esteemed language holder, author, and ecologist Veronica Perrule Dobson, and her daughter Camille, from the Eastern Arrernte people.
