Artist- Molly Hunt, a Balanggarra and Yolngu woman, with connections to Bunuba /Jaru & and Gija Country. She is a multifaceted creative, comic book writer, author and illustrator.

This installation delves into the legacy of Aboriginal stock women across generations. Revered as the backbone of their communities, these women held families together with their wisdom, strength, and love. Through Molly’s distinct comic-style drawings the story of our warrior women unfolds. Accompanying the bold animated images is an eclectic soundscape created by Nyikina man Mark Coles Smith. This installation shines a light on the truth of their extraordinary legacy.
