Parrtjima - A Festival in Light is a free 10-night festival, taking place from
Friday, 22 September to Sunday, 1 October 2017.

Every night from 6:30pm to 10:30pm, the iconic MacDonnell Ranges will light up with a spectacular array of light and colour.
Parrtjima – A Festival in Light, will also include a unique outdoor gallery of contemporary and traditional Aboriginal art from the desert region. Larger than life, it will be an experience of light and sound that the whole family can explore and enjoy.
As well as the gallery of artworks, filled with light and sound, the festival will have a Hub of food and drink stalls. Come along to enjoy dinner in the outdoors.
Four sessions are available to attend the festival each evening
- 6:30pm – 7:30pm
- 7:30pm – 8:30pm
- 8:30pm – 9:30pm
- 9:30pm - 10:30pm
Alice Springs Desert Park will also be transformed into a unique outdoor gallery of light and sound for the whole family to enjoy.

HOW LONG SHOULD I ALLOW FOR MY VISIT?
Allow 1 to 2 hours to enjoy the full experience, including travel to and from the event. It will take approximately 45 minutes to walk around and experience the various art installations.
